Obsidian is part of the George Bence Group, an independent family run company formed in 1854.

The Obsidian project commenced following a fire during the summer of 2001, in which the original Victorian-era showroom was razed to the ground. Just sixteen months later, a superb three-storey neo-Regency styled building replaced it & was opened by Lord Fowler in November 2002.

From this period onwards the Obsidian brand has gone from strength to strength endearing many industry awards along the way.
